Dublin Climate Gathering

In June 2013 a group of people convened in Dublin for the Dublin Climate Gathering, following on from a meeting of leading international climate experts in the Burren in February.

One of the ideas developed in the Burren was that if we are to stop people going in an unsustainable way from A to B then we have to offer them a better alternative C.  The job of the Dublin Climate Gathering was to map out this new ‘Plan C’ economy, using the internet as a key driver and catalysing collaboration between civil society, business, government and academia.

The Dublin Climate Gathering was a collaboration between the Greens/European Free Alliance in the European Parliament and the Climate Gathering. For full details please see the Dublin Climate Gathering web site.

Martin Curley, Vice President of Intel Labs Europe, describes the thinking behind the Dublin Climate Gathering.
